Sunday, August 10, 2008Good evening everyone. I shall start off by warning you all that my post is going to be a long one so... BE PREPARED!!
Yesterday was our last rehearsal and performance for NDP. It was kind of sad. When we gathered at the City Hall Convention Hall, we saw people dressing up as those animes costumes. The costumes were so nice!! I saw some of them dressing up as my favourite anime character. I had the urge to run there and hug them. Their costumes were kind of realistic and cool. Not forgetting their hair and make-ups. Overall it was an unforgettable experience =D.
We reached the Convention Hall and we had to pass through the security check before we could step into the hall. The security was that strict. We ate packed food. It had bao, spring roll and some other kinds of food. It tasted average. Later on, we proceeded to our usual and LAST rehearsal. The weather was hot and all of us were sweating profusely. After the hot and warm rehearsal, we headed back to our resting area. WE NEEDED AIR CON AND WATER!! We ate ice-cream drank lots and lots of water. We even had a Singapore Flag cake for the afternoon. However, it had a thick layer of cream at the top layer of the cake. YUCK! Shortly after that, we had our dinner! Guess what was out dinner? It was not KFC! It was PIZZAHUT! It had 1 slice of mushroom pizza, 3 pieces of sweet and spicy chicken wings and 2 pieces of garlic beard. It tasted so goOOOOOooOOooooOOOd!
After our delicious dinner, we had our NEW GLOVES! Yeah! We finally had our new gloves. It smell so new. Haha =D. I went to the Ladies with cheese and piano a lot of times. I was afraid that I might pee on the stage. LOL! Later on, we had to gather at the ground floor of the convention hall to march to Marina Bay. Su Yin parents were there to support her! I was jealous! LOL =D! While waiting, the Colours marched pass us. It was our turn to march. There were more crowds gathered at the pathway and filming us marching pass. O.O We finally reached Marina Bay. The first thing I did was to ask permission to go to the Ladies. Cheese and I rushed to the Ladies like "kiasu" aunties rushing to get a free goody bag.
We ran back to the contingent and gotten us prepared for the actual and final show for NDP. As I was marching in, I noticed that the audience was dressed in red. I thought that they were so supporting but with another closer look, it was just red raincoat. LOL! Before we faced the audience, I saw myself seeing me marching and looking at the large screen at the centre of the stage. WOW! I look funny. I even saw Cheese and Su Yin =D. Throughout the whole parade, I never even had the urge to sleep even with the hypnotising songs. It might because it was the real and actual show so I must keep myself awake. It was drizzling throughout the performance but that did not affected the show. After the great show, we ran back to our resting area. We had champagne! Hurray! It tasted kinda gassy and still gassy. The YAs said that the parade was a great performance. Yeah! We even had our NDP goody bag and we won the best cheer award! HAHAHA! The prize was a small handbag but it was better than nothing. At least we had some souvenir from NDP other than our umbrellas.
We got back to HQ for debrief and Jie Min started to cry and it affected quite a number of guides to cry along with her. Too bad. I did not cry. So sad. Although we might be separated because of the end of NDP but we will still keep in contact with each other. So we shall keep out beautiful memories of NDP in our heart forever. I am missing Girl Guides NDP'08 T-T.
Oh today there was NDP encore at 4pm. WOW! I saw Cheese, Su Yin and I on TV! I looked so weird! HAHA! At least I got filmed?! Haha! LOL! Alright I shall end off by saying :
