Sunday, July 6, 2008This is my first blog. It might be a surprise to all of you that I had created one. Oh come'on, I am getting bored over the days so I tried to create one. HAHAHA! =D. PLEASE tell me where should I improve on since it is the first time I am trying to create this without any help(some helping hands from friends actually... =X)! WOOT! LOL!
Seriously I am really posting now...
Yesterday, it was the first N.E. Show at Marina Bay. Fortunately, the weather played quite well along with us. It was windy and cooling and surprisingly, no one fall out =D. We had our first rehearsal of that day in the afternoon. We had a packed lunch before it and it tasted... alright, not really gross. HAHA! Soon after our First rehearsal, we had DINNER! OMG, it was only around 4pm and we were having dinner(K.F.C. again=.=). Oh gosh! We were so full!=.=''' Unfortunately, our Y.A.s wanted us to eat. At that time, I could nearly feel that my stomach was going to BURST anytime.
After our dinner, we had our last minute rehearsal before the FIRST PUBLIC SHOW. Haha, I was scared=.=. My umbrella drills were not really perfect. I could go wrong anytime. I remembered the last few rehearsal, when I hold up my umbrella, I could not find the button! I search frantically for it. Finally I had found it but, when I opened it, 'WOSH' goes my hat. Oh great! Just great. My hat landed on the floor! It was indeed embarrassing. I was afraid that the same incident would happen again.
Luckily, I managed to clear my mind before the show. We assembled at the ground floor of the Sentec City right outside of its entrance. THERE WERE SO MANY EYES STARING AT US! Alright, I might be a bit too exaggerating but there were really a lot of people gathering to see us march to the Marina Bay. Firstly, the G.O.H. marched off followed by us marching behind. During the march towards our destination, crowds were taking out their phones recording every moves we took. Oh gosh! I nearly smiled. When we reached Marina Bay, we sipped a few drops of water before going up to the stage. The first public show was awaiting for us.
We marched in with out red and white coloured umbrellas from different gates towards the stage. There were almost 22 thousands of audience! CAN YOU BELIEVED IT?!?! Surprisingly, when i was up there on the stage, I was not afraid nor nervous. From my view, I could see the audience waving their Singapore flag happily although I could not see their faces. This is our SINGAPORE SPIRIT! Finally, the simulated president arrived. It is time for our umbrella drills. HAHA! I managed to do it without any faults! WOOT! Later on, we jogged back to the side gate and we screamed and shouted like mad with joy! Yesterday show was considered quite a successful one except that the BLACK KNIGHTS(the 5 fighter planes) came back too quickly. It was an enjoyable day! =D
